Berluto DRV 730-D steam pressure reducing valve, stainless steel
Piston-controlled pressure reducing valve for steam and hot water in stainless steel 1.4408, female thread G 1/2" to G 2" (or male thread R with the -D-R version), inlet up to 16 bar, outlet 0.3 to 2 bar, PTFE / EPDM / FEPM seals up to 200 °C.
The DRV 730-D is Berluto’s steam reducer for low outlet pressures. A piston, not a diaphragm, controls the valve, and the soft seat is fitted with PTFE and elastomer seals chosen for hot service: PTFE / EPDM for steam up to 150 °C, PTFE / EPDM / FEPM for steam up to 200 °C. Body and bonnet are stainless steel 1.4408 with 1.4404 inner parts, so hot water, condensate and aggressive liquids are covered as well.
Inlet pressure is 16 bar and the outlet is set between 0.3 and 2 bar; the minimum pressure difference across the valve is only 0.3 bar. Sizes G 1/2” to G 2” give Kvs values from 3.0 to 12 m³/h. The inner assembly is a replaceable cartridge and gauge ports G 1/4” sit on both sides.
The -D-R version has male thread ISO 7 (R 1/2” to R 2”); its datasheet is attached below. For outlet pressures between 2 and 10 bar see the DRV 732-D / 738-D, for flanged connections the DRV 830-D.
Selection data we need
Medium (saturated steam, hot water), inlet pressure and temperature, required outlet pressure, steam or water flow rate, connection type (female G or male R) and size, and whether the 200 °C seal set is needed.
Applications
- Low-pressure steam to heat exchangers, autoclaves and sterilisers
- Hot water and condensate systems
- Aggressive liquids at elevated temperature
- Air and neutral gases at higher flow rates
