Bubble traps protect hygienic liquid processes against entrained gas. Ritec supplies the Jacoby-Tarbox Hy-Trap for pharmaceutical and biotech applications, in 316L stainless steel with a Type 1 borosilicate glass body.
The Hy-Trap has mounting brackets for the unit and its accessories as standard, which takes the load off the tubing, and an optional second top connection. Tell us the size, connections, flow, pressure and temperature, and whether the unit is steamed in place, and we return a selection.

- What does a bubble trap do?
- It removes entrained gas bubbles from a liquid line before they reach the rest of the process. The Hy-Trap's glass body lets operators see the liquid and the separated gas.
- Which sizes are available?
- The Hy-Trap comes in 4" to 10" (100 to 250 mm). Other sizes, materials and pressures are made to order.
- What makes the Hy-Trap easy to clean?
- A drain angle above 10 degrees with a radiused drain entry, an L-shaped seal that keeps glass and metal apart, SF4 wetted surface finishes and a centred inlet placed away from the wall for faster, more consistent cleaning.
