This statement explains which data Ritec bv processes when you use this portal, why, and what your rights are. Last updated 2026-09-16.
1. Who is responsible?
Ritec bv, Vaart Rechteroever 227, 9800 Deinze, België, is the data controller. Questions about your data: sales@ritec.be. This page covers what this portal specifically processes; Ritec's general privacy statement (Dutch) applies alongside it.
2. Which data do we process?
Quote requests. When you submit a request we process the details you enter (company, contact name, email, phone, country, VAT number, reference, technical description) and the files you attach (datasheets, nameplate photos, drawings). We use them solely to answer your request, send you a quotation and follow it up. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR) and our legitimate interest in customer follow-up.
Requests and attachments are stored in Google Cloud / Firebase in the Europe region (europe-west1, Belgium). We keep them no longer than needed to handle your request and the ensuing commercial relationship, unless a longer retention period is required or justified by law (for example for accounting).
Visitor statistics. Only with your consent (see section 3) we use Google Analytics to measure which pages are visited, from which region and through which source. We use these statistics to improve the portal and compare it with our main website. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
3. Cookies and local storage
On your first visit this portal sets no cookies. A banner lets you accept or decline statistics cookies; declining is as easy as accepting and does not limit the use of the portal. Your choice is remembered for six months, after which we ask again.

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Ltd. as a processor; Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses and Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: Google privacy policy.
Changing your choice. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the button below or the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. After withdrawal we no longer load Google Analytics; cookies already set (_ga) can be removed through your browser settings.
4. Who do we share data with?
With the manufacturers we represent, when needed to size or quote your request; with our IT providers (Google Cloud / Firebase for hosting and storage, Microsoft 365 for email) as processors; and with authorities when the law requires it. We do not sell data.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object, and you can withdraw consent you have given. 6. Changes
We may update this statement when the portal or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
