Dyna-Flo 350 series expanded outlet control valve

Expanded outlet, reduced port sliding stem control valve, 8x6" to 12x8", ASME Class 150 to 900, for gas and steam letdown where the outlet velocity must be kept low.

When gas or steam expands across a valve, the outlet volume is many times the inlet volume. The 350 series has an outlet one or two sizes larger than the inlet so the expanded flow leaves at an acceptable velocity, which keeps noise and vibration down and avoids a separate expander. Low-noise cage trims are available for the same reason.

Sizes run from 8x6” to 12x8” in ASME Class 150 to 900.

Selection data we need

Medium and its properties, inlet and outlet pressure, flow rate at minimum, normal and maximum conditions, temperature, allowable noise level, required shutoff class, pipe size and rating, actuator air supply and control signal, and any fail position. We size the valve and actuator in Dyna-Flo’s FloSpec software.
