Jerguson Series 86 high pressure safety ballcheck valves, to 10,000 psi
High pressure bolted bonnet OS&Y gage valve with loose knob backseating stem; the 86HO with Viton O-rings is rated 10,000 psi (689.5 barg) up to 400 °F and matches the Jerguson Series 51 gage.
The Series 86 is the Jerguson gage valve for the highest pressure ranges, designed for flat glass gages, instrument piping and other duties needing a rugged valve. With the standard spiral wound gasket between bonnet and body it is rated 6000 psi at 100 °F. The 86HO replaces that gasket with Viton O-rings, also under the renewable seat and the drain plug, and is rated 10,000 psi at 400 °F, matching the Jerguson Series 51 gage.
The disc on the stem is a keyed, free-rotating loose knob, which gives accurate seating and avoids galling. Acme threads keep operation easy. When the stem is backed out fully, the knob seats against the bonnet sleeve so the valve can be repacked under pressure. The OS&Y yoke keeps the threads away from heat and process fluid.
