Jerguson Series 60 union bonnet safety ballcheck valves
Union bonnet gage valves with stainless steel stem, seat and ballcheck, regrindable renewable seat and union tank connection, up to 4000 psi (275.8 barg) at 100 °F and 600 WSP saturated steam.
The Series 60 is the Jerguson union bonnet gage valve for reflex and transparent flat glass gages. Stem, seat and ballcheck are stainless steel, and the seat can be reground using the sleeve as a guide or replaced with a standard 5/8” socket wrench.
The stainless steel ball sits upstream of the seat and shuts off the flow instantly if the gage fails. The union tank connection simplifies installation and gives access to the ball, held by a spring clip. Nos. 64 and 67 have a union gage connection, so a gage can be turned to any angle and removed without draining the vessel. The valves can be converted in the field from plain to quick closing. Note that quick closing stems make commissioning harder when liquid is already in the vessel.
