Jerguson Series 70 bolted bonnet safety ballcheck valves, Class 900
Bolted bonnet OS&Y gage valves with backseating stem for ratings above ASME Class 900, low emission to API 624, stainless steel up to 4000 psi (275.8 barg) at 100 °F, 750 WSP saturated steam.
The Series 70 is the Jerguson bolted bonnet gage valve for higher pressures, with ratings above ASME Class 900. It is used on flat glass gages, instrument piping and other duties that call for a rugged valve, and it is low emission certified to API 624.
The OS&Y yoke keeps the threaded part of the stem away from heat and process fluid, and the backseating stem allows repacking while the valve is under pressure. The seat can be reground or replaced with a standard 5/8” socket wrench. Nos. 74 and 77 have a union gage connection for turning or removing the gage without draining the vessel; the offset Nos. 76 and 77 allow the gage to be swabbed through the vent or drain plug.
For lighter Class 600 duty, see the 70BL / 70XL.
