Berluto DRV 740 mbar pressure reducing valve, stainless steel
Spring-loaded diaphragm pressure reducing valve for the mbar range in stainless steel 1.4408, female thread G 1/2" to G 2", inlet 0.5 to 10 bar, outlet 7 to 500 mbar in four spring ranges, for air and neutral gases, ATEX version available.
The DRV 740 series is Berluto’s mbar reducer: a spring-loaded stainless steel valve with a large diaphragm under a domed bonnet, designed to hold outlet pressures from 7 to 500 mbar from an inlet between 0.5 and 10 bar. The reduction ratio is not limited, and a pulse line can be connected to control on the pressure downstream, which makes the valve a fit for tank blanketing and other low-pressure gas duties. It is intended for air and neutral gases only.
Four spring ranges are available: DRV 743 for 7 to 100 mbar and DRV 744 for 30 to 500 mbar with a Kvs of 2.5 to 3.0 m³/h, and DRV 747 for 50 to 200 mbar and DRV 748 for 150 to 500 mbar with a larger Kvs of 4.3 to 16.3 m³/h. The valve is installed horizontally with the bonnet pointing up. Body and bonnet are stainless steel 1.4408 with 1.4404 inner parts.
EPDM / PTFE or FKM / PTFE diaphragms cover −30 °C to +180 °C. An ATEX version with EPDM per directive 2014/34/EU and DIN EN ISO 80079-36 is rated −10 °C to +80 °C. The flanged counterpart is the DRV 840.
Selection data we need
Gas and temperature, inlet pressure range, required outlet pressure in mbar, flow rate or Kvs, connection size and thread standard, ATEX zone if applicable.
Applications
- Tank blanketing with nitrogen or other inert gas
- Low-pressure gas supply to burners, analysers and laboratories
- Air and neutral gases needing a stable outlet in the mbar range
- Potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX version)
