Berluto DRV 402 / 408 pressure reducing valve, male thread
Diaphragm pressure reducing valve in red bronze with male thread and union nuts R 1/2" to R 2 1/2", inlet up to 40 bar, outlet 1.5 to 6 bar (402) or 1.5 to 10 bar (408), for water, neutral liquids, air and neutral gases.
The DRV 402 / 408 is the male-thread version of Berluto’s standard red bronze reducer. Tailpieces with union nuts on both sides let the valve be taken out of the line for service without turning the pipework, and the range extends one size further than the female-thread DRV 302 / 308, up to R 2 1/2” with a Kvs of 17 m³/h.
Diaphragm control with inlet pressure compensation holds the set outlet pressure steady; the 402 covers 1.5 to 6 bar, the 408 1.5 to 10 bar. An integrated strainer protects the seat and the whole inner assembly is a replaceable cartridge. Gauge ports G 1/4” are on both sides.
A drinking water version (-DW) with EPDM and a high-temperature version (-HT) with FKM to 190 °C are listed in the datasheet.
Selection data we need
Medium and temperature, minimum and maximum inlet pressure, required outlet pressure, flow rate or Kvs, connection size, seal material or drinking water requirement.
Applications
- Water and neutral, non-sticky liquids
- Compressed air and neutral gases at higher flow rates
- Installations where the valve must be removable with union nuts
- Drinking water with the -DW version
