Dyna-Flo DFLP and DFRP piston actuators

Pneumatic piston actuators for large sliding stem (DFLP) and rotary (DFRP) control valves, 20 to 110 psig supply, travel to 8-1/8", for high thrust and long stroke.

Where a diaphragm actuator runs out of thrust or stroke, a piston actuator takes over. The DFLP works at supply pressures up to 110 psig on a double-acting piston, with a spring or a volume tank and trip system for the fail position, and gives strokes up to 8-1/8” for the 370 and 380 valves. The DFRP does the same for the large rotary valves, with a compact rack or lever drive.

Selection data we need

Medium and its properties, inlet and outlet pressure, flow rate at minimum, normal and maximum conditions, temperature, allowable noise level, required shutoff class, pipe size and rating, actuator air supply and control signal, and any fail position. We size the valve and actuator in Dyna-Flo’s FloSpec software.
