GOETZE 645 gunmetal diaphragm safety valve with enlarged outlet
Gunmetal angle safety valve with diaphragm and one size larger outlet, 1/2" to 2" inlet with 3/4" to 2 1/2" outlet, female BSP or PN16 flanged inlet from DN 25, 0.5 to 16 bar, −50 °C to +205 °C, ASME UV, ACS and WRAS approved.
The 645 is the 642 with an outlet one nominal size larger than the inlet: 1/2” in, 3/4” out, up to 2” in and 2 1/2” out. The larger outlet lowers the back pressure in the discharge line and gives more capacity for the same inlet size, which is what steam and gas applications usually need. Everything else is shared with the 642: gunmetal body, stainless steel wetted internals, moulded diaphragm, set pressures from 0.5 to 16 bar and a PN16 flanged inlet from DN 25.
The approval set is the same as well, with PED, TÜV type test 2102, ASME UV, CRN, KGS, the ACS, WRAS and DVGW hygiene listings for drinking water, and marine class approvals.
Selection data we need
Medium and state, set pressure, required discharge capacity, operating pressure and temperature, inlet size and connection (threaded or flanged), seal and diaphragm material and whether a lifting lever is required. For a replacement, the type code and nameplate data are enough.
