GOETZE 420 stainless steel safety valve with compression fittings

Gastight stainless steel angle safety valve for small pipework, DN 8 and DN 10 with BSP, NPT or 8, 10 and 12 mm compression fittings, 0.5 to 50 bar, −40 °C to +260 °C, with PTFE or metal bellows depending on set pressure.

The 420 is GOETZE’s safety valve for small-bore stainless steel pipework: DN 8 and DN 10, with threaded ends or compression fittings to EN ISO 8434-1 for 8, 10 and 12 mm tube, so it mounts directly in instrument and process tubing without adapters. It is gastight as standard and covers gases, vapours, liquids and steam from small boilers below 10 litres, at set pressures from 0.5 to 50 bar.

The bellows is chosen by set pressure: none below 1.5 bar, a PTFE bellows from 1.6 to 12 bar and a stainless steel bellows above that, all protecting the spring and guide from the medium. Seals from EPDM to PTFE give −40 °C to +260 °C, the valve is type tested under PED and TÜV 2069 and listed for hydrogen service.

Selection data we need

Medium and state, set pressure, required discharge capacity, operating pressure and temperature, connection type (thread or tube outside diameter), seal material and whether a lifting lever is required. For a replacement, the type code and nameplate data are enough.

Applications

  • Pressure vessels and systems for gases, vapours and liquids
  • Process technology and small steam boilers below 10 l
  • Chemical plants, desalination, offshore, hydrogen
  • General applications with screwed pipe connections
