GOETZE Hygienic 4040 tank-mounted stainless steel safety valve

Hygienic safety valve in stainless steel 1.4435 that mounts directly on a tank flange, DN 25 outlet with pipe connection, 0.4 to 16 bar, −40 °C to +200 °C, dead space ratio L/D ~ 0.33, pneumatic lifting for CIP/SIP, ASME UV and CRN approved.

The Hygienic 4040 is built for tanks: instead of an inlet connection it mounts directly on a tank flange, which brings the dead space ratio down to about 0.33 and leaves almost nothing to clean between vessel and seat. The outlet is a DN 25 pipe connection for DIN 11850 tube. It is the tank-top safety valve for fermenters, storage and process vessels in breweries, dairies and pharmaceutical plants.

The rest of the design matches the Clean range: body and wetted parts in 1.4435 finished below 0.75 µm, a moulded diaphragm protecting the spring housing, gap-free FKM, EPDM or HNBR seals with FDA and USP listings, and a pneumatic lifting device for CIP and SIP. Set pressures run from 0.4 to 16 bar and approvals include PED, TÜV type test 2111, ASME UV and CRN.

Selection data we need

Medium and state, set pressure, required discharge capacity, operating pressure and temperature, tank flange details, seal material, surface finish requirement and whether a pneumatic lifting device is needed. For a replacement, the type code and nameplate data are enough.

Applications

  • Process and storage tanks in the food and dairy industry
  • Fermentation and bright beer tanks in breweries
  • Pharmaceutical and cosmetics vessels, medical technology
  • Clean-service vessels for air, gases, steam and liquids
