Real-time monitor for Farris 2600 pressure relief valves: detects and records every lift by stem movement, reports via 4-20 mA, WirelessHART or ISA100, intrinsically safe, battery powered, retrofit kit or factory fitted.
Most relief valves lift without anyone knowing, and every lift is an emission that has to be reported and a seat that may now leak. The inSure device clamps onto the cap of a 2600 series valve and senses stem movement through a magnet, so it needs no penetration of the pressure boundary. It records time, lift and temperature of every event and sends them to the DCS by wire or wireless, from which the released volume can be calculated.
It is supplied as a retrofit kit matched to orifice and flange class, or on a new valve from the factory.
Selection data we need
For inSure: the 2600 type number, orifice and flange class, and the communication protocol. For a valve: medium and state, set pressure, required capacity or the governing relief scenario, operating pressure and temperature, back pressure, inlet and outlet size and rating, material and certificates. For a replacement, the nameplate data is enough. We size and select in Farris SizeMaster.
