Ritec partnerFarris 4200 series steam safety valve
ASME Section I and VIII boiler safety valve for steam and air, full nozzle, open bonnet, 1-1/4x1-1/2" to 6x8", 15 to 1000 psig, −20 °F to +1000 °F, carbon steel, stainless or chrome-moly.
Section I safety valves have a job of their own: pop fully at set pressure on saturated or superheated steam, relieve the full boiler capacity at 3 percent overpressure and reseat cleanly. The 4200 does it with a full nozzle for long life and easy service, an open bonnet that keeps the spring cool, a one-piece guide for alignment and a temperature equalising disc that follows nozzle distortion during a lift.
Every 4200 is assembled, set and tested by a Farris FAST centre and carries the FAST tag. It is also certified under Section VIII for air and steam, so one design covers boiler and process steam duties.
Selection data we need
Medium and state, set pressure, required capacity or the governing relief scenario, operating pressure and temperature, back pressure, inlet and outlet size and rating, material and certificates. For a replacement, the nameplate data is enough. We size and select in Farris SizeMaster.
Applications
- Boiler drums and superheaters
- Steam headers and reboilers
- Process steam generators
- Air and steam under Section VIII
