BS&B XT forward acting disk

Cross-scored forward acting disk for 5.5 to 100 bar in DN25 to DN225, 85 % operating ratio, non-fragmenting, full vacuum resistant. Also available as a welded assembly disk to 2000 bar.

The XT is a cross-scored forward acting disk: four score lines meet at the crown of the dome so the disk opens into four attached petals with a large, predictable relief area. It handles gas and liquid service alike, resists full vacuum without a support and operates at 85 % of burst pressure.

The same disk technology is used in BS&B’s custom engineered assemblies, where an XT disk is welded or crimped into a threaded or flanged body for OEM equipment and pressures up to 2000 bar. For standard flanged installations the XT mounts in the NF-7RS and NFI-7RS pre-torqued heads or the TL-7R.

The first back-pressure independent reverse buckling disk: variable back pressure up to 2 bar has no effect on the burst pressure. DN25 to DN250, 3.45 to 34.5 bar, 90 % operating ratio, non-fragmenting.
