Ritec partnerBS&B RLS high pressure reverse buckling disk
Reverse buckling disk for high burst pressures from 1.4 up to 138 bar, DN25 to DN500, 90 % operating ratio, non-fragmenting, full vacuum resistant.
The RLS extends reverse buckling technology to burst pressures where, historically, only thick forward-acting disks were available. Up to 138 bar the disk still operates in compression, keeps its 90 % operating ratio and opens without fragmentation, so a high-pressure safety valve can be isolated from the process with a disk that will not shed pieces into the valve.
The RLS is also the reference for high-pressure duty where pressure cycling would fatigue a tension-loaded disk, for example on reciprocating compressor discharge. For sizes below DN25 at high pressure, ask for the RLS-U in the UR-2 union holder.
Selection data we need
Size, burst pressure and temperature, operating pressure and pressure cycling pattern, medium, and flange rating of the companion flanges.
Applications
- High-pressure reactors and autoclaves
- Compressor and pump discharge
- Hydrogen, gas and steam systems
- Isolation of high-pressure safety relief valves
