Compact reverse buckling disk for small sizes DN25 to DN150 with a very wide burst range of 0.14 to 20 bar, 90 % operating ratio, non-fragmenting. Patents pending.
The LSR is a single-piece domed disk with a circular score and a proprietary curl feature at the score, plus SAF (structural apex forming) at the dome apex as an extra burst pressure control. The design uses noticeably less material than earlier disks and is made in an ISO 14001 facility without water consumption, which BS&B highlights as its sustainability focus.
The LSR covers, in one small-size disk, a burst pressure span that used to need two or three different products: from 140 mbar right up to 20 bar. That simplifies specification for engineering contractors and keeps spare stock small for plants with many small relief points.
It shares the Sta-Saf hallmarks: compression-loaded dome, full vacuum resistance, 90 % operating ratio, non-fragmenting opening and the same pre-torqued insert safety heads as the SKr and SKi.
