Reliance FG Series flat glass water gages with DuraStar LED illuminator
Transparent flat glass boiler water gages in four pressure classes, FG400 to 450 psig, FG900, FG1500 and FG2000 to 2000 psig, with mica shields, finger clamps and up to six windows, plus DuraStar amber LED illuminator; complies with ASME Section I.
The FG Series is the Reliance transparent flat glass water gage for boiler drums from 450 to 2000 psig. A wide body gives strength and rigidity, and finger clamps put a uniform load across the glass so the gasket stays tight, while the gage is still easy to dismantle for cleaning.
All glass is tempered, tested for surface trueness and protected by a mica shield against the corrosive effect of boiler water. The FG400, FG900 and FG1500 use borosilicate glass and 3/4 inch end nipples; the FG2000 uses aluminosilicate glass and 1/2 inch Class 2500 RTJ side flanges. For longer visible ranges several windows are placed side by side with at least one inch of overlap, as the ASME code requires.
The DuraStar illuminator makes the level easy to read from a distance. Three columns of directed amber LEDs form a bright, star-like image exactly at the water line. It fits new and existing FG gages, needs no hood and is available for ordinary and hazardous locations.
