KITO BEH-6 end-of-line flame arrester, endurance burning proof

End-of-line deflagration flame arrester, endurance burning proof, for explosion groups IIA1 to IIB3 in DN80 to DN100, with hood and weather protection.

The BEH-6 is KITO’s end-of-line deflagration arrester for free-venting tanks where a released vapour cloud may be ignited and burn back onto the element for an extended time. It is tested for endurance burning, so the element keeps the flame out of the tank even when it burns on the outlet side for hours.

The element consists of wound, corrugated stainless steel ribbons that quench the flame in narrow gaps. A hood protects the element against rain and dirt.

Medium and explosion group (or MESG), nominal size and connection standard, operating pressure and temperature, flow rate, material and required accessories (temperature sensor, heating sleeve).

Applications

  • Free vents of fixed-roof storage tanks
  • Vent lines where a stabilised flame can burn on the element
