One-piece hygienic sight window with Type 1 borosilicate glass fused into a duplex or Hastelloy ring, clamps to any hygienic ferrule, 1/2" to 12", up to 360 psig (25 bar), −60 °C to 300 °C, 10 Ra µin finish.
Uni-San brings the UniGlas principle to hygienic systems. Type 1 borosilicate glass is fused into a duplex stainless or Hastelloy ring, so the window is one piece with a crevice-free transition between glass and metal. It clamps onto any hygienic clamp connection and turns a ferrule on a tank or in a line into a viewing window or a light port.
The smooth, crevice-free surface shortens cleaning cycles, reduces product loss and supports CIP and SIP. If needed, the window can be mechanically cleaned and placed back into service. The wetted surface has a 10 Ra µin mechanical finish, with electropolishing available.
Pressure ratings reach 360 psig (25 bar) on the smallest sizes and 85 psig on 6” to 12”. The duplex ring is rated from −30 °C to 280 °C, the Hastelloy ring from −60 °C to 300 °C. A version with an LED illuminator is available for lighting the vessel.
