Pressure vessel quality weld pad sight windows to ASME Section VIII: circular 5200-PVQ in sizes #2 to #12 for 150, 300 and 600 psi, and obround 5300-PVQ views 1 x 6" to 4 x 24" for 150 psi and 500 °F. FM approved dual window versions.
The PVQ (pressure vessel quality) windows are made from code metals for attachment to vessels built to Section VIII of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. The weld pad is supplied flat, rolled to the pipe radius (CYL) or dished to a spherical head (SPH); the minimum pad thickness is calculated per UG-44, and the vessel designer confirms reinforcement and corrosion allowance.
The circular 5200-PVQ is built for 150, 300 or 600 psi across the full temperature range to 500 °F, in sizes #2 to #12. A retainer with studs clamps the borosilicate window; UniGlas, dual UniGlas and full view dual windows (FM approved, 5200-PVQ-DW) are available, and the retainer can carry a stainless spray ring to keep the glass clean.
The obround 5300-PVQ gives a long view, up to 4 x 24”, for 150 psi working pressure and 500 °F service, also with a dual window.
