Full ASME rated bolt-on sight window: a UniGlas fused window and retainer that turn any ASME B16.5 flange or studding outlet into a viewing port, 1" to 10", Class 150, 300 and 600.
The Model 5800 is the simplest way to see into a tank or vessel: a UniGlas window plus a retainer flange convert any ASME B16.5 flange or studding outlet into an observation port. The customer supplies the outlet and the fasteners; Jacoby-Tarbox supplies the window, gaskets and retainer, sized to the flange class.
UniGlas is borosilicate glass fused into a metal ring, which pre-stresses the glass. Jacoby-Tarbox reports more than 35 years in severe service without a catastrophic failure. The one-piece window needs no bonding agents, shims or adjustment screws and can be put back into service after cleaning.
Pressure-temperature ratings follow ASME Class 150, 300 and 600, with the Hastelloy C ring rated slightly higher than alloy steel at temperature. Torque values for standard fasteners are given on the datasheet.
