Jacoby-Tarbox Phaeton XTL / SL explosion-proof LED sight glass lights

Phaeton lights put LED illumination straight onto the glass, so no second window is needed for lighting. The Phaeton XTL is a ring light in 4” or 6” that clips onto tank windows of 4” (100 mm) and larger: the operator looks through the ring, and a 4” XTL can be nested inside a 6” unit for double the brightness. The Phaeton SL is a 2” (50 mm) light for sight flow indicators from 1/4” up to 3”.

Both install or retrofit in minutes without disassembly or modification of the equipment. The explosion-proof enclosure holds the power supply and feeds the light through an intrinsically safe output. The LEDs run cool, so product does not bake onto the window. Estimated life is 100,000 hours of continuous duty, and the light can be unclipped for washing without disconnecting.

The XTL carries FM approval for Class I and Class II, Division 1 locations. The SL is approved for Class I Division 1 and, with the IECEx/ATEX power supply, for Zone 1 as Ex db [ib] IIB+H2 T4 Gb.
