Ritec partnerJacoby-Tarbox drop-in spray ring for flange-mounted sight windows
316 SS spray ring that drops in against a flange-mounted sight window and directs a cleaning liquid or gas across the glass, 2" to 10", ASME Class 150, 300 and 600, 1/4" NPT supply.
A sight window only helps when the operator can see through it. The Jacoby-Tarbox drop-in spray ring sits directly against a flange-mounted window and directs a secondary fluid, liquid or gas, across the glass to remove debris. Jacoby-Tarbox used computational fluid dynamics to lay out the compound angle radial and cross jets for full window coverage, short cleaning time and low consumption of cleaning fluid.
The ring drops in and centres itself within the flange bolting like a standard ASME ring gasket, so an existing window can be upgraded by adding about 1” to the fastener length. It keeps the pressure rating of the window and is made in 316 stainless steel for Class 150, 300 and 600 flanges.
For cleaning with liquid the flushing pressure should be at least 10 psi (0.7 bar) above the process pressure. When steam is used, keep cleaning short and limit the pressure difference to protect the window.
Selection data we need
Window size and flange class, process pressure and temperature, the cleaning medium and its available pressure, material, and whether the ring should come assembled with a new window.
Applications
- Rinsing windows and removing build-up with liquid
- Blowing off powders and purging windows with gas
- Cooling, warming, defogging and condensate removal
