VYC 496 flanged full lift safety valve
Flanged full lift spring-loaded safety valve (AIT) with 90° angle body, DN20x32 to DN200x300, PN16 and PN40, cast iron, nodular iron, cast steel or stainless steel, to ISO 4126-1, PED and ATEX.
The 496 is VYC’s flanged full lift valve: one design for steam, gases and liquids, with a 90° angle body that gives a clean flow path and a large discharge capacity. The lifting device (elevator) is separate from the seal, so the valve pops open sharply on steam expansion and opens and closes with the same precision on any fluid.
It is built in four body materials from cast iron PN16 to stainless steel PN40, in eleven sizes up to DN200x300, and in four cap versions. All valves leave the factory set and sealed at the requested pressure and tested under simulated operating conditions; material, casting and test certificates can be supplied with the PED documentation.
A balance bellows compensates external or self-generated back pressure and protects the spring from the atmosphere; a lift limiter reduces the discharge coefficient where the valve would otherwise be oversized.
Selection data we need
Medium and state, set pressure, required capacity, operating pressure and temperature, back pressure, connection size and type, material and the cap version (open, closed, packed lever). For a replacement, the nameplate data is enough.
