GOETZE 852 gunmetal flanged safety valve DN 40 and DN 50

Angle safety valve in gunmetal with cast-on DIN flanges, DN 40/65 and DN 50/80, 0.5 to 25 bar, −60 °C to +225 °C, for water, air, gases and steam; 852bHL heating variant with EPDM bellows.

The 852 is GOETZE’s compact flanged gunmetal safety valve for the two sizes that water and air installations ask for most: DN 40 with a DN 65 outlet and DN 50 with a DN 80 outlet. It is a direct spring-loaded angle valve with stainless steel internals, set pressures from 0.5 to 25 bar, and it is at home on pressure booster sets, fire-fighting equipment, boilers and pump discharge lines.

The bonnet versions follow the GOETZE pattern: open bonnet for neutral media, bellows for non-neutral media and back pressure up to 4 bar, gastight, and gastight with bellows. Approvals cover PED, TÜV type test 2007 for steam, gases and liquids, DVGW hygiene for drinking water with EPDM seals, and the main classification societies.

The 852bHL is the heating version with EPDM bellows for hot water systems to 120 °C under TRD 721 and EN 12828, with an optional condensate connection in the outlet.

Selection data we need

Medium and state, set pressure, required discharge capacity, operating pressure and temperature, back pressure, size, seal material and bonnet version. For heating systems, the boiler output. For a replacement, the type code and nameplate data are enough.

Applications

  • Pressure booster plants, water and air side
  • Fire-fighting equipment
  • Industrial and commercial boiler plants
  • Pump protection, shipbuilding and marine equipment
