GOETZE 652 gunmetal safety valve for water, air and cooling circuits

Economical gunmetal angle safety valve, 1/2" to 2" female BSP, 1 to 16 bar, −50 °C to +200 °C, open bonnet for air and neutral gases or diaphragm version for water and glycol cooling circuits.

The 652 is GOETZE’s standard gunmetal safety valve for water and air systems in the building-services and light-industrial range: 1/2” to 2” with female BSP threads on both sides, set pressures from 1 to 16 bar and a twist-type lifting mechanism. It protects booster sets, compressors, cooling circuits and mini steam generators up to 3 bar.

Two versions are offered. The open-bonnet type 652sGK is for air and neutral vapours without back pressure. The diaphragm version 652m is for neutral liquids and cooling circuits: the diaphragm keeps spring and moving parts out of the medium, and with EPDM seals the valve handles glycol mixtures up to 100 %. The DVGW hygiene listing covers drinking water with EPDM seals; marine class approvals from DNV, LR, ABS and BV are included.

Selection data we need

Medium (air, water, glycol content), set pressure, required discharge capacity, operating pressure and temperature, connection size and seal material. For a replacement, the type code and nameplate data are enough.

Applications

  • Pressure booster plants, water and air side
  • Cooling and chilling systems with up to 100 % glycol
  • Pump protection
  • Mini steam generators, Cat. I boilers below 10 l up to 3 bar
