GOETZE 6420 diaphragm safety valve with stainless steel inlet

Angle safety valve with stainless steel 1.4404 inlet body, gunmetal outlet and diaphragm, 1/2" to 2 1/2" with BSP, NPT or clamp inlet, 0.5 to 16 bar, −50 °C to +205 °C, for gases, vapours, steam and liquids, ASME UV, ACS and WRAS approved.

The 6420 takes the 642 diaphragm valve and replaces the gunmetal inlet body with stainless steel 1.4404, so all parts in contact with the medium are stainless while the outlet body and non-wetted internals stay in copper alloy. That gives a corrosion-resistant valve at a lower price than an all-stainless type, from 1/2” to 2 1/2” and 0.5 to 16 bar.

The inlet comes threaded BSP or NPT, or as a DIN 32676-B clamp for food and beverage utilities, which is why the series also appears in GOETZE’s Clean range. Approvals include PED, TÜV type test, ASME UV, CRN, KGS, ACS, WRAS and DVGW hygiene, and the main classification societies.

Selection data we need

Medium and state, set pressure, required discharge capacity, operating pressure and temperature, size and inlet connection (BSP, NPT or clamp), seal and diaphragm material and whether a lifting lever is required. For a replacement, the type code and nameplate data are enough.

Applications

  • Pressure vessels and systems for gases, vapours and liquids
  • Steam and industrial boiler plants
  • Pressure booster systems and pump protection
  • Cooling systems, food and beverage utilities with clamp connections
