GOETZE 492 high-pressure safety valve 50 to 1500 bar
Full-lift stainless steel high-pressure safety valve, 1/4" to 1", 50 to 1500 bar, −60 °C to +200 °C, with atmospheric discharge up to 180 bar or a positionable angled outlet body, for high-pressure compressors, cylinder packs, CNG and hydrogen.
The 492 is GOETZE’s high-pressure valve for gases: a full-lift stainless steel design that starts where the rest of the range stops, at 50 bar, and goes up to 1500 bar. It protects high-pressure compressors, storage banks and cylinder packs, CNG systems and hydrogen installations, in 1/4” to 1”.
Up to 180 bar the standard version discharges to atmosphere through apertures in the body. Above that, and for non-neutral gases, the gastight version has a positionable angled outlet body that can be turned to the discharge pipe, with BSP, NPT or Goetze cone-and-thread inlet. Sealing is metal-to-metal backed by PAI up to 630 bar or PEEK to 1500 bar. The valve is type tested under TÜV 2100 and carries ASME UV, CRN and KGS approvals.
Selection data we need
Gas, set pressure, required discharge capacity, operating pressure and temperature, inlet size and connection type (thread or cone-and-thread), whether atmospheric discharge is acceptable or a piped outlet is required. For a replacement, the type code and nameplate data are enough.
