GOETZE Hygienic 400 stainless steel safety valve with bellows
Hygienic angle safety valve in stainless steel 1.4435 with stainless steel bellows, DN 20 to DN 50 with clamp, threaded ferrule or aseptic connections, 0.4 to 16 bar, −40 °C to +200 °C, CIP/SIP capable, Ra < 0.75 µm, for food, beverage, pharma and cosmetics.
The Hygienic 400 is GOETZE’s aseptic safety valve for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. The body and all wetted parts are stainless steel 1.4435 with a surface roughness below 0.75 µm, the seals are exposed and rinsed and installed without gaps, and the body shape avoids puddles after the valve has opened. A stainless steel bellows shields the guide, spring housing and spindle from the product and compensates back pressure up to 30 % of the set pressure.
It is the only valve in the hygienic range with a metal bellows rather than a diaphragm, which makes it suitable for steam and higher set pressures. The disc can be lifted from the seat with the twist-type mechanism or a pneumatic lifting device for CIP and SIP, and the valve can be adjusted and set in operation. Connections cover the whole hygienic spectrum, from DIN 32676 clamps and DIN 11851 dairy fittings to DIN 11864 aseptic couplings; approvals include PED, TÜV type test 2062, EHEDG aseptic and EC 852/2004.
Selection data we need
Medium and state, set pressure, required discharge capacity, operating pressure and temperature, back pressure, connection type and pipe standard, seal material (FKM or EPDM), surface finish requirement and whether a pneumatic lifting device is needed for CIP/SIP. For a replacement, the type code and nameplate data are enough.
Applications
- Food industry, breweries and beverage plants
- Pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry
- Medical technology
- Clean-service processes, vessels and pipework for air, gases, steam and liquids
