GOETZE 255 cast steel flanged safety valve

Full-lift angle safety valve in cast steel 1.0619 (WCB) with DIN PN40 flanges, DN 15 to DN 100, 0.2 to 40 bar, −85 °C to +400 °C, for steam, gases and liquids; 255 ANSI version with Class 150 flanges.

The 255 is the cast steel member of GOETZE’s flanged full-lift family: the same angle body, single trim and replaceable seat as the stainless 455, in 1.0619 (WCB) for steam and general process duty where a carbon steel body is specified. DN 15 to DN 100 with set pressures from 0.2 to 40 bar, and a temperature range from −85 °C to +400 °C with metal-to-metal seals.

Bonnet versions follow the family pattern: open bonnet for neutral gases, bellows for back pressure up to 30 % of the set pressure, gastight bonnet for non-neutral media and the double gastight bellows version for hazardous media. The valve is approved under PED and TÜV type test 2094 for steam, gases and liquids and carries ASME UV, KGS and marine class approvals.

The 255 ANSI has moulded ASME B16.5 Class 150 flanges, NPS 3/4” to 4”, up to 20 bar. The 255bHL is the hot water version with EPDM bellows for heating and district heating systems to 120 °C.

Selection data we need

Medium and state, set pressure, required discharge capacity, operating pressure and temperature, back pressure, inlet and outlet size, flange standard (DIN or ANSI), seal material and bonnet version. For a replacement, the type code and nameplate data are enough.

Applications

  • Steam plants and industrial boilers
  • Chemical and petrochemical plants
  • Industrial gas production and biogas plants
  • Shipbuilding and marine equipment
