GOETZE 2480 cryogenic safety valve with gunmetal outlet

Full-lift cryogenic angle safety valve with stainless steel inlet body and gunmetal or brass outlet, 1/4" to 2", 0.2 to 70 bar, −200 °C to +200 °C, oil- and grease-free, FDA-listed PTFE seal, TPED and ADR/RID compliant, insect screen outlet option.

The 2480 is the economical version of GOETZE’s cryogenic safety valve: the same stainless steel 1.4404 inlet body and internals as the 2400, with a gunmetal or brass outlet body. It is rated from −200 °C to +200 °C for LIN, LOX, LAr, CO2 and LNG, delivered oil- and grease-free with an FDA-approved PTFE seal, and covers 1/4” to 2” inlet sizes at set pressures from 0.2 to 70 bar.

Like the 2400 it is built to DIN EN 13648-1 and ISO 4126-1, complies with TPED and ADR/RID for transport tanks and carries ASME UV, CRN and KGS. The open-bonnet version can be supplied with a free outlet fitted with an insect screen for tanks that vent directly to atmosphere.

Selection data we need

Gas, set pressure, required discharge capacity, operating pressure and temperature, whether the tank is stationary or transportable (TPED), inlet and outlet size and thread type, bonnet version and whether a piped or screened outlet is wanted. For a replacement, the type code and nameplate data are enough.

Applications

  • Storage tanks and pipelines for cryogenic liquefied gases
  • Transport tanks under TPED and ADR/RID
  • Tunnel freezers, dry ice blasting, liquid nitrogen dosing, cryogenic machining
  • Medical gases and food-contact cryogenics
