Ritec partnerBS&B SRD / SRD-L reverse buckling disk
Sta-Saf reverse buckling disk with an exceptionally wide range, 0.83 to 51.7 bar in DN25 to DN600, in gas (SRD) and liquid (SRD-L) versions. Aluminium available.
The SRD and SRD-L are two variants of the same reverse buckling disk: the SRD is calibrated for gas or vapour, the SRD-L for liquid-full systems, where the absence of a compressible medium changes how the dome reverses and opens. Choosing the right variant is what guarantees a full opening in liquid service, a point that is easily overlooked when a disk is selected on pressure alone.
Both cover a wide pressure span up to 51.7 bar in all common sizes, run at 90 % of the burst pressure, resist full vacuum and open without fragmentation. Aluminium is a standard material, which is useful for low burst pressures and for media where nickel alloys are not needed.
Selection data we need
Whether the system is gas, vapour or liquid-full at the disk, size, burst pressure and temperature, operating pressure, medium and flange rating.
Applications
- General process protection across a wide pressure span
- Liquid-full systems (SRD-L)
- Isolation of safety relief valves
- Cyclic duty
