Ritec partnerBS&B Saf-T-Graf MB / AMB graphite disk
Monoblock graphite rupture disk for corrosive service, 17 mbar to 10.3 bar in DN15 to DN600, installs between standard flanges. AMB version with steel armour ring, HTA version to 427 °C.
Graphite is the rupture disk material for media that attack nickel alloys: hot acids, chlorides, bromine, wet chlorine and many organics. The Saf-T-Graf MB is a monoblock disk machined from resin-impregnated graphite, so there are no seams, no liners and nothing to delaminate. It installs directly between standard flanges without a safety head.
The AMB adds a steel armour ring around the graphite, which protects the disk during handling and installation and is our standard recommendation. The AMB-HTA uses a high-temperature impregnation for service to 427 °C. Below 1.52 bar, where vacuum may be present, order the MBV / AMBV with vacuum support. Graphite disks fragment on bursting, so they are used for direct relief rather than safety valve isolation.
