BS&B Saf-T-Graf IMB / AIMB inverted graphite disk

Inverted monoblock graphite disk with a much wider burst range, 21 mbar to 69 bar, in DN15 to DN600, vacuum resistant by design. AIMB armoured, AIMB-HTA to 427 °C.

The IMB inverts the geometry of the MB: the graphite membrane sits at the downstream end of the monoblock body and is supported by the body itself against reverse pressure. The result is a graphite disk that resists vacuum without any add-on support and that covers a far wider burst range, up to 69 bar in the small sizes.

Like the MB it is seamless, installs between standard flanges and is offered with an armour ring (AIMB) and a high-temperature version (AIMB-HTA). It is the disk we propose for corrosive processes with vacuum steps, and for corrosive duty at pressures above the reach of the MB.
