BS&B Vac-Saf AVB / P-AVB disk

Low-pressure disk with integral vacuum support for 0.2 to 6.9 bar in DN80 to DN200, plain (AVB) or fluoropolymer lined (P-AVB), in the VB-7R holder. Non-fragmenting.

The AVB is a low-pressure disk that comes with its vacuum support built in, so it survives full vacuum on the process side while bursting at as little as 0.2 bar in the relief direction. It opens without fragmentation and is calibrated for gas or liquid service.

The P-AVB carries a fluoropolymer liner on the process face and is the usual choice for glass-lined reactors and other aggressive-media applications where a bare metal disk would corrode. Both mount in the VB-7R pre-assembled holder and can be fitted with a Burst Alert sensor.

The first back-pressure independent reverse buckling disk: variable back pressure up to 2 bar has no effect on the burst pressure. DN25 to DN250, 3.45 to 34.5 bar, 90 % operating ratio, non-fragmenting.
