Very low pressure explosion vent for buildings and rooms, up to 1220 × 1830 mm, with optional translucent construction so the vent doubles as a window.
Buildings and rooms have far lower strength than process vessels, so the vents that protect them must open at very low pressures and be large. The VSB is designed for exactly this: a lightweight panel up to 1220 × 1830 mm that relieves a deflagration in a room before the structure is damaged.
An optional translucent construction lets the vent take the place of a window, so daylight is kept and the building elevation is not filled with blank panels. Typical uses include dust bagging areas, battery rooms and enclosures housing gas-fired equipment.

Room volume and construction strength, the hazard (dust or gas, with its explosion data), available wall area and orientation, and whether translucent panels are wanted.
