Domed explosion vent with insulation for service at 538 °C and above, 227 × 305 mm to 1130 × 1727 mm, for dryers, furnaces and hot gas systems.
Explosion vent materials lose strength as temperature rises, so a standard vent on a hot process would open at the wrong pressure or suffer from creep. The HTV is a domed vent combined with an insulation package that keeps the venting element within its design temperature while the process side runs at 538 °C or above.
It protects spray dryers, thermal oxidisers, hot gas filtration and milling systems where the dust cloud is both explosible and hot. The dome also gives resistance to the vacuum and pressure cycling typical of these installations.

Vessel volume and strength (Pred), Kst and Pmax, process temperature at the vent, static activation pressure, operating pressure and mounting area.
