Jacoby-Tarbox Hy-Trap hygienic bubble trap

Hygienic bubble trap in 316L stainless steel with a Type 1 borosilicate glass body, 4" to 10" (100 to 250 mm), SF4 wetted finish, drain angle above 10°, mounting brackets as standard.

The Hy-Trap removes entrained gas bubbles from hygienic liquid lines in pharmaceutical and biotech processes. It is built from 316L stainless steel and Type 1 borosilicate glass, in sizes from 4” to 10” (100 to 250 mm), with the same manufacturing techniques across all sizes for consistent performance.

Cleanability drives the design. The inlet is centred and kept away from the wall, which gives even dispersion and faster, more consistent cleaning. The Aggressive Drain Design uses a drain angle above 10°, intersecting tapers and a radiused drain entry, and wetted surfaces have an SF4 finish. An L-shaped seal, made for each glass size, centres itself and keeps glass and metal apart, while concealed threads and fixed spacing give uniform compression.

Mounting brackets for the unit and its accessories are standard, so the trap does not hang on the tubing. A second top connection is optional; other sizes, materials and pressures are made to order.

Selection data we need

Size, inlet and outlet clamp connections, flow, operating pressure and temperature, cleaning and sterilisation conditions, and whether a second top connection or other accessories are needed.
