GLAUNACH type A absorbing silencer
Circular baffle absorbing silencer in stainless steel with mineral wool and glass fabric lining and a radial diffuser inlet. No pressure drop, 25 dB or more depending on the number of absorber stages.
The type A is the classic absorbing vent silencer. The gas enters through a radial diffuser pipe that redirects and evenly distributes the flow, after which the noise is absorbed in the circular baffle stages. Because the silencer discharges straight to atmosphere there is no pressure drop, which makes it the natural choice behind safety valves. Extra absorber stages can be added to reach higher attenuation.
