In-tank eductor that mixes tank contents with a recirculated liquid or a secondary liquid or gas, no moving parts, cast 3/8" to 3" in bronze, 316 SS or carbon steel, NPT, weld or flanged connections.
The TLA is an eductor designed to sit inside a tank. Pressurised fluid is accelerated through the nozzle into a high-velocity stream that entrains the surrounding tank contents and mixes with them. The combined stream leaves the TLA at high velocity and sets up a flow field that keeps the whole tank moving.
The motive fluid can be tank liquid recirculated by an external pump, or a secondary fluid brought into the tank. Gas motives are used for aeration and gas dispersion in chemical reactions, liquids for additives or dilution, and steam for heating. The high pick-up ratio amplifies the flow, so smaller pumps can be used and existing transfer pumps can serve for mixing as well. The directed flow field handles viscous fluids, slurries and suspensions and removes stratification in pH, temperature and solids.
Mounting inside the tank avoids structures above it and keeps the TLA clear of other tank equipment. Jacoby-Tarbox can model the tank in its AccuBlend CFD program to show the number of TLAs needed, the velocity profile and the turnover time.
