Jerguson · Level Gages
Jerguson Series L10 large chamber level gage for boiling liquids
Large chamber flat glass level gage for liquids that surge, boil or flash, reflex (RL-10) to 2400 psi (165.5 barg) or transparent (TL-10) to 1200 psi (82.7 barg) at 100 °F.
Liquids close to their boiling point are hard to read in a standard gage: entrained gas comes out of solution in the small chamber, and rising vapour makes the level appear to jump. The Series L10 has a large chamber of heavy tubing that calms the liquid and gives an accurate reading of liquids that surge, boil or flash.
It is used for ammonia, propane, butane, methane, ethylene, LNG and refrigerants, and in services where the process runs below freezing while warm ambient air heats the liquid in the gage above its boiling point. Below freezing the gage must have non-frost extensions.
Selection data we need
Medium and its operating temperature, reflex or transparent, visible range or centre-to-centre distance, glass size and number of sections, design pressure, connection size and position (end, side or back), bolting material and whether non-frost extensions or illumination are needed.
Applications
- Ammonia, propane, butane, methane, ethylene, LNG and refrigerants
- Liquids with entrained gas released at low pressure
- Sub-zero process with warm ambient (with non-frost extensions)
