Jerguson Series 20 reflex and transparent armored level gage
Medium pressure armored flat glass level gage, reflex (R-20) or transparent (T-20), up to 3270 psi (225.5 barg) at 100 °F, one-piece bar stock chamber, recessed gasket seat, glass sizes 1 to 9.
The Series 20 is the most specified Jerguson flat glass gage and covers 80 to 85 percent of level applications. The chamber is one continuous piece of bar stock regardless of length, with multiple vision slots for longer gages, so there are no joints between sections.
The gasket seat is recessed in both chamber and cover. It locates the gasket during assembly and field repair, makes it possible to repair the gage while it stays mounted on the vessel, and holds the gasket against lateral movement that could lead to a blow-out. Carbon steel covers are shrouded to protect the glass edges.
The reflex R-20 shows liquid as dark and vapour as silver, which is easy to read with clear liquids. The transparent T-20 has a glass on both sides and is used for interfaces and, with mica shields, for steam above 300 WSP.
