Jerguson Series 40 heavy duty level gage, to 5000 psi
Heavy duty flat glass level gage for high pressure process and steam service, 5000 psi (344.7 barg) at 100 °F in carbon steel and 316 SS, saturated steam to 1500 WSP.
The Series 40 is the Jerguson heavy duty gage for high pressure process service and process steam up to 1500 psi. Carbon steel and 316 stainless chambers carry the same rating: 5000 psi at 100 °F.
Both the reflex and the transparent version use plain (transparent) glass. A reflex Series 40 can therefore be hard to read with clear liquids, because the silver/black contrast of a prismatic glass is missing; for clear liquids a transparent gage, often with an illuminator, is the better choice.
