Reliance SG600, SG700 and SG800 Series forged steel water gage valves
Forged steel OS&Y water gage valves for boiler steam service: SG800 lever operated to 1500 psi (103 bar) at 600 °F, SG600 and SG700 chain wheel operated to 3000 psi (206 bar) at 700 °F; NPT, socket weld or ANSI flange vessel connections, optional ball checks and unions.
Reliance steel water gage valves isolate high pressure boiler gage glasses. All models are of outside screw and yoke design, so the stem bushing sits outside the body, away from heat and corrosive fluids.
The lever operated SG800 Series goes to 1500 psi at 600 °F. It has a forged SA-105 body, a 303 stainless stem, a one-piece 420F stainless replaceable seat and a Grafoil packing cartridge held by two-bolt yokes; a quadruple stem thread opens or closes it in a quarter turn. Models differ in vessel and gage connections, ball check position and unions, from the basic SG854 with 3/4 inch male pipe connection to the flanged SG861US with ball checks and unions.
For the highest pressures the SG600 and SG700 Series are operated by chain wheel, with a single-pitch thread, up to 3000 psi at 700 °F. They carry 1/2 inch Class 2500 RTJ gage connections that match flat glass FG2000 and Simpliport P4100 gages.
Selection data we need
Boiler design pressure and temperature, gage glass model and valve centres, vessel and gage connection types, ball check and union requirements, lever or chain wheel operation.
Applications
- Flat glass and Simpliport gages on high pressure boiler drums
- Water columns and standpipes
- Remote operation by chain wheel on large boilers
