KITO VD/TA in-line pressure or vacuum relief valve

In-line pressure and/or vacuum relief valve, weight or spring loaded, DN50 to DN150, also used as non-return safety device or overflow valve in vapour recovery lines.

Where a tank is connected to a vapour recovery or vent header line instead of venting freely, an in-line valve keeps the tank closed during normal operation and opens only at the set pressure or vacuum. The VD/TA is that valve: inlet and outlet in line, a weight- or spring-loaded pallet in between.

It is also used as a non-return safety device or overflow valve, and KITO recommends it together with the FDN-Det4 detonation arrester on tanks connected to vapour recovery. For inert gas blanketing, Annex F of ISO 28300 or API 2000 gives sizing guidance.

Tank volume and pump in/out rates, product and flash point, required pressure and vacuum settings, nominal size and connection standard, blanketing gas if any, and required accessories. We size with the KITO KISS program per ISO 28300 / API 2000.
